Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC friend of hers is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, a gold in the year 2011, and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She was the winner of at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in in 2012 as well as the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shevchenko made her first professional MMA record in 2002 at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She took the title with a TKO at the end of round 2 and went on to win her two fights following in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on boxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The promotion ended in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized superior strikes and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Antonina was offered a UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight via unanimous decision but was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus for the bout. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski and being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
